Nikki Bowling Photography & Design About Nikki

I studied at Harrogate College of Art and Design for four years, and my love of photography comes from doing black and white hand printing during my A Level art.

I set up my own business straight from college, with the help of a Prince’s Trust business loan. I started off with a custom made shed in my parent’s garden, printing my own black and white images. Things have obviously changed a lot since then, with the age of digital, and now with my own family I am no longer at my parents house.

I am based on Clifton Moor in York, and mainly work on location, although there is a studio I rent locally when required. The nature of my work enables me to cover anywhere geographically.

I am passionate about all aspects of my work, and realise I am very lucky to be doing something for a living which I enjoy so much. My greatest love lies in working with people – providing beautiful and natural images at weddings and of families.

My style is contemporary and relaxed, and I help people feel at ease in front of the camera. I never take over, although I am fully able to gather groups of people together as is needed.
